The Nicaragua Maragogype coffee variety is known for its especially large beans and pleasant cup profile. Nicaragua Maragogype is grown by various smallholders in Nicaragua at altitudes above 1,200 meters above sea level. The higher altitude and lower temperatures cause the coffee to mature slower and the beans to develop a more intense flavor.
A high-quality cup profile is obtained during the processing of harvested fruit. The coffee beans are fully washed; after removing the fruit, the beans are washed with water and dried on large drying patios in the sun. The harvest takes place every year from December to March.
Coffee is available in bags weighing 69 kg.
