Tanzania Ngila, as the name suggests, grows in Tanzania, in the Karatu region, on the Ngila Coffee Estate. The 100-ha farm grows Kent, N&K and Bourbon varieties at an altitude of 1,600–1,800 m.a.s.l.
Tanzania Ngila has a bright, fruity flavor.
The coffee beans are honey-processed, then washed and stored in barrique barrels. For over 10 years, Tanzania Ngila coffee has been known as one of the best washed Arabica coffees from the Ngorongoro crater; the water of the Endoro stream, coming from the Ngorongoro National Park, is used to wash the coffee beans.
